Abstract

Herein, the pristine and nano ZnO doped pullulan films are fabricated by solution intercalation technique. The ZnO Nps were synthesized by hydrothermal method using Syzygium samarangense fruit extract as a surfactant. The effect of nano ZnO doping on structural, morphological and luminescent properties of fabricated films is studied. The XRD study reveals the increase in the crystallanity of the films after the dispersion of nano ZnO in the film. While the structural aspects are probed by FTIR analysis. The FESEM image shows the morphological changes due to the addition of nano ZnO into the polymer matrix. The presence of nano ZnO in the film is confirmed by EDX analysis. The optical study including UV analysis and Photoluminescence (PL) reveals the dependence of luminescence nature of pullulan films on nano ZnO doping.
