Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the contradictions in the process of music mediation when the purpose of teaching is to expand the possibilities of access to culture by children living in areas of high youth vulnerability. Music teaching is based on the historical-cultural approach and has a theoretical-practical approach. The categories of analysis are: Emotion-reason; pedagogical team; family-school; institutional conditions. The analysis of the contradictions evidences the concrete conditions that provide the good development or create ruptures in the pedagogical activity.
