Abstract

Two new acylated anthocyanins were isolated from the storage root of Ipomoea batatas. On the basis of spectroscopic analyses, these compounds were identified as the 3-O-(6-O-trans-caffeyl-2-O-β-glucopyranosyl-β- glucopyranoside)-5-O-β-glucoside of cyanidin and peonidin.
