Selection of apple cultivars and strains corresponding to each s-allele genotype

Abstract

The self-incompatibility(S) genotypes of 'Hatsuaki'(H), 'Redgold', 'Kinsei', the progenies from H x 'Jonathan'(J), J x H, H x 'Golden Delicious' (GD), GD x H, 'H x 'Fuji'(F), F x H, H x 'Starking Delicious '(SD), SD x H, 'Iwakami'(Iw) x GD, GD x Iw and 'Ralls Janet' x J were analyzed to classify the genotypes of cultivars and strains corresponding to (Sj a, Sj c), (Sj a, Sj e), (Sj a, Sj f), (Sj b, Sj c), (Sj b, Sj d), (Sj b, Sj e), (Sj b, Sj f), and (Sj d, Sj e) genotypes.
