Abstract

Guidelines for the selection of digital multimeters are presented, and the importance of various parameters pointed out. Parameters discussed include accuracy, overrange, temperature coefficient, input impedance, offset and kickback current, input noise, normal- mode rejection, stability, and speed. A list of manufacturers is included.
