Abstract

Enzyme-based nanosensors are environmental monitoring tools with the capacity to detect and quantify ultralow levels of pollutants in water and other compartments. The high conversion rates of enzymes as well as the high stability and amplification capacity of nanomaterial make these devices an attractive technology for the field and massive analysis for the determination of water quality. In this chapter, a review of recent developments of nanodevices using enzymes as recognizing elements is presented.
