Abstract

Employer branding is a concept which deals with human resource. It has become very important in today’s time when the reliance on intellectual capital is more. The concepts started from the ashes of Industrial age in the 1980s and made its presence felt in the 1990s. In post liberalization era, we have seen brand name being established not for the product they deliver, but as a place to work. Employer branding is a process with which the organization places an image of being “a great place to work” in the minds of the target future employees. The best place to work is actually feedback given by employees as to what they think of your organization, “a place to work.” In this research paper, we have highlighted some of the important points which are relevant for the IT companies as far as employer brand is concerned. The research has showed that IT companies have separate budget for employer brand, and they really do not have difficulty in attracting the right talent for their organization. These IT companies are well versed with the fact as to where the potential employees hang out and what are the factors which the potential as well as current employees are looking in an organization.
