Two stations in Saanich Inlet and one station in Jervis Inlet were sampled in July 1977 in order to determine the distribution of redox sensitive chemical species in the water column. Saanich Inlet becomes reducing in the bottom water during the summer while Jervis Inlet water remains oxygenated throughout the year.
