Abstract

The sensorless vector control of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is implemented in this paper. The vector control of PMSM motor requires proportional–integral (PI) control gains for controlling the current of the motor. For designing PI gains of current controller, parameters of motor, i.e., stator resistance and stator inductance need to be tuned for the desired response. In this paper, the procedure for parameter estimation is being discussed, and based on that PI gains required for vector control of PMSM motor are being designed. The values of motor parameters are experimentally verified concerning the datasheet of the motor.
