Children are a particularly vulnerable segment of the population. Intimate partner violence is not just an isolated issue that concerns adult partners (the parents). Furthermore, this early and unfortunate exposure to intimate partner violence may set the standard for what is acceptable domestic behavior, thus potentially creating the next generation of victims and perpetrators of abuse.
