Abstract

In this paper we present a new approach to the systematic user centric development of next generation user interfaces (NGUI). Central elements of the approach are a conceptual model that extends the well established model view controller paradigm with an environment component, an iterative development methodology that guides development along the mixed reality continuum and tools to support the implementation. The approach is demonstrate with a concrete example of NGUI development. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
