Mobilization of mineral nutrients in the rhizosphere

Abstract

Cotton sown on 15 June in a dry soil, with seedlings sown on 7 June and transplanted with the onset of monsoon rains on 1 July or with a presowing irrigation on 30 May, was superior to that sown on the normal date with the onset of rains in lint index, but not in ginning percentage, mean halo length or seed index.
